Fine artist Florence produces distinctive works inspired by a profound understanding and love of wildlife. Trips to the British coastline from an early age gave her a fascination with ocean creatures. Painting with acrylic on timber her finished works invite the viewer into a compelling, fascinating, textural and colourful world that is uniquely evocative.
Florence completed A-Level Art then went on to undertake a degree at Exeter University. It was during this time that she developed her style as an artist. In 2014 Florence was commissioned a 5 meter by 3 meter mixed fish mural by the Stein Group for the Stein Fisheries and Seafood Bar in Padstow. Since then Florence completed a post graduate degree in Art before becoming a full time artist in 2016.
When she isn’t painting in the studio, Florence will be off looking for inspiration for new original works. From fish markets to farms. From Cornish coasts to Bali beaches. Qualified as an an advanced open water diver Florence now takes every opportunity to interact with sea life in its natural habitat. Having her own studio has given her the freedom and space to experiment with different mediums and textures which ensure that her art is evolving harmoniously.
We look forward to what the future holds for this talented artist.
